Opportunities to train with SSA
Things are in full swing with Safety Solutions Academy and the busy schedule will continue through the spring and summer. If you are interested in taking the responsibility for your safety and the safety of those that you love seriously make sure that you get the training you need.

Advanced Pistol Handling
This coming weekend, May 31 and June 1, students that have previously taken a Critical Defensive Handgun Course with Safety Solutions Academy or a CFS Course with another instructor have the opportunity to participate in an Advanced Pistol Handling Course.

Most training courses exploit the advantages of being on a shooting range in a practice environment. They are designed to help you feel good about your training and your skills in a false environment. Very few people get in a gunfight on the range. Instead, violence happens in the real world. APH is crafted with that in mind. Advanced Pistol Handling is all about gaining experience using your handgun in the most compromising positions. You aren’t going to have the choice when and where you are forced to defend your life or the lives of those that you love. No matter what position you find yourself in, you need to know how to get your handgun out of the holster. You need to understand how to put shots on the threat quickly with the precision your threat requires.
Critical Defensive Handgun (2-Day)
Those of you that haven’t yet completed a Critical Defensive Handgun Course have the opportunity to do so June 7th and 8th. This course is our flagship defensive handgun course and is powered by the Combat Focus Shooting program. You will have the opportunity to learn about and put into practice the Critical Defensive Skills you will need most when you are forced to defend yourself with your handgun. Because this course emphasizes your own proficiency it is an outstanding course for both those that are brand new to the carry of a defensive handgun and those that have previous training and experience.

Fundamentals of Home Defense Handguns
June 7th is an opportunity for those that want to learn more about defensive handgun use in the home to find out about the handguns that are best for home defense and how to use them efficiently in an imminent home invasion with the potential for a lethal threat. This course is great for people that are new to defensive handguns and are specifically interested in how handguns can be used to defend the home.

Fundamentals of Concealed Carry and Ohio CCW
Is the class you need to take if you want to carry a handgun concealed in the State of Ohio. This 12 hour course meets and exceeds all of the requirements set forth by the State of Ohio and also teaches the fundamentals of Critical Defensive Skills you will count on if you are faced with a violent attack.
If you are serious about protecting yourself and those that you love from the realities of violent crime you understand that a gun is just a tool. Without the proper training you are leaving the safety of you and your family to chance. Instead, you should stack the odds in your favor by getting the right training.
