What I have been calling weather radios are really emergency radios. If you were listening to yesterday's podcast you may have heard them in the background letting me know about a warning in a neighboring county. Pretty awesome technology. Today I talk more about SAME technology, and the radios themselves with a specific suggestion for which radio I recommended.

Without a realistic assessment of the threats we face and the consequences of those threats, the preparations we make are at best a shot in the dark. I have been thinking about some ways that I can shore up our severe weather safety plan and SAME technology is one of the tools I will be testing out.
