One of the areas in tactical gear where tremendous progress has been made in the past few years is tactical lights. With advances in LED technology lights have gotten brighter, smaller, and much more feature rich. One of the problems that comes along with features, however, can be complexity. When we are involved in any type of emergency situation that requires the use of our light, we want the operation of that light to be both simple and intuitive. Different manufacturers have found different solutions to the simplicity problem to varying degrees of effectiveness. I sat down with Wade Stevens of TerraLUX to talk about thier lights and some innovative features that may work as a solution to the complexity issue.
