0319 - An Interview with Mike Brown Designer of the Adcor BEAR

When it comes to the AR-15 platform, I am a big fan of the DI guns. The AR has a reputation of being a finicky and dirty rifle that at times can be truthful but is often overblown. So with very few exceptions when folks ask me my opinion about the AR I talk about DI. As with anything else, there are exceptions. Today we are going to hear about an exception. The Adcor Defense BEAR. The BEAR's designer Mike Brown is going to talk to us about Adcor, AR-15's, Pistons, the BEAR and the depth that his rifle and Adcor bring to the table.

0265 - An Interview with John Paul of JP Enterprises

My primary AR-15 is a JP rifle. I bought a JP for several reasons: First, JP has taken a bunch of time over the years to give me personal customer support. When I say JP, I am talking about the people at JP, but also John Paul. When someone takes the time to invest in me as a customer, I become a loyal customer. Second, I started out as a competitive shooter and JP dominated the competitive market where I played my gun games. I know that competition isn't battle, but I also know that competition can be a grueling test ground for combative gear. JP has proven that their rifles will continue to perform in the harshest of conditions. Finally, with JP, I had the opportunity to have a rifle built to my exact specifications. I hope you enjoy today's podcast and if you are shopping for a new AR, give JP a look.

0264 - Interview with Stacey Nagey of Primary Weapons Systems

The AR-15 is currently one of the most popular weapons platforms out there and like anything out there that is hot, it is stuck into a bunch of gunnisms. AR vs. AK, 5.56 vs. 6.whatever, 16" vs. 10.5", and probably one of the biggest out there right now, DI vs piston. There are lots of manufacturers out there building the best rifles they can with all the options customers can possibly think of and of course all the choices are fueling the fire. Today, our goal is to smother the blase and try to actually understand why we might want a piston gun. PWS is going to help us with that task.

No one who is a parent wants to have to think about their children being in danger but we know and understand that at times, they will be. To make matters worse, we can's always be there to protect our kids. At some point, however, we must begin to transfer the responsibility of our children's safety to our children. The big questions are how, and when. Today we look at some factors to consider.
