Managing Unknown Contacts, MUC CLE Course

Managing Unknown Contacts with Craig Douglas in the Cleveland area.

It is no secret that I am a firm believer that you need to train in more areas than simply the use of your defensive handgun.

One of the most important and most neglected areas is in conflict avoidance.  Managing Unknown Contacts or MUC as it is known by many, is one of the most important avoidance courses that you could take.  MUC is taught by one of the top names in the defensive industry, South Narc, or Craig Douglas.

Why Avoidance?

The answer is simple.  If you avoid a conflict you avoid all of the nasty consequences that come along with being involved in violence.  I talk about situational awareness in this podcast.

  • Serious injury
  • Death
  • Loss of your physical freedom
  • Loss of financial security
  • Emotional trauma

The list goes on.  Plain and simple if you could invest 4 hours to avoid everything on that list and more, why wouldn’t you do it?

If you aren’t sure if MUC is right for you:

First off, it is.  Regardless of what you are thinking, stop and just get signed up.

Second, here are a couple of links that might help you make the decision:

Here is a link to a Ballistic Radio Show that talks about Craig’s Managing Unknown Contacts that is an important part of that 4 hour block.

This review is from Ben who recently attended PEP3 in Garretsville, OH where he took Craig’s Managing Unknown Contacts block.

For those that are more visually inclined here is a detailed description of the course.

I Will Be There!

I have gone through Craig’s Managing Unknown Contacts session in the past, and I am looking forward to going through it again.  In addition, I have a slot in the entire weekend of training.  I can’t think of a better endorsement than that.

See you there!

Thanks for taking the time to consider what I have to say!
