3.2 Keep Your Gun Pointed In a Relatively Safe Direction

You must first complete 3.1 Understanding the Rules of Gun Safety before viewing this Lesson

It is hard to prioritize the rules for safe gun handling.  They are all important.  If I had to choose which rule I thought was the most important, I would probably choose the “safe direction” rule.

Keep your gun pointed in a relatively safe direction whenever possible.

If you keep your gun pointed in a direction that is away from people and property no matter what else happens no one is likely to be hurt.

In this lesson we are going to break down the first rule of gun safety.  Keep your gun pointed ina . relatively safe direction whenever possible.

3.1 Understanding the Rules of Gun Safety
3.3 Keep your finger someplace other than the trigger until you're ready to shoot.
