Technical Handgun: Tests and Standards – John Johnston of Citizens Defense Research

Saturday, June 29, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm EDT

- $200

NOTICE: THERE IS A $35 RANGE FEE FOR THIS CLASS. THE RANGE FEE WILL BE BUNDLED WITH THE TICKET PRICE IN CHECKOUT.

This class is fast paced intermediate/advanced level 10-hour class where we will dive into the weeds on technical shooting standards, and the fundamental skills it takes to be successful performing them. The day’s curriculum is heavily student driven, and will vary slightly from class to class. A heavy emphasis will be placed on pushing people to new levels of automaticity. Multiple tests and assessments will be shot, cold, for recorded score, and the class’s top shot will receive a “Major Award”.

Shooters will be expected to already be proficient with their chosen handgun and carry method at the beginning of class. This class IS NOT SUITABLE as an introduction to formal handgun training. If you have never attended a handgun shooting class, please DO NOT sign up.

Topics will include but are not limited to:

  • Increasing presentation speed
  • Decreasing reaction time to visual stimuli
  • Maintaining accuracy, at speed
  • Recoil management
  • External pressure disassociation (Performance Jitters)
  • And More!

CANCELLATION POLICY

The only way we can know that a class is full is when the specified number of students have registered and paid their tuition fees. Once a class is full, we have to turn away others who would like to attend. If you cancel too close to class, or fail to show up for class, you keep someone else from attending and would cost us a student. Please be sure you can attend a class before signing up for it. We believe this policy is fair to you, to other students, and to us. In order to minimize this, we have strict policies on pre-payment and cancellation.

To secure a slot in a course full payment is required (unless otherwise specified). Cancellations by a student inside the thirty day window will be non-refundable but creditable to another Citizens Defense Research class anywhere the student wishes to train, within 18 months of the cancellation. Cancellations by students the week of the course will be non-refundable and will receive no credit. Cancellations by Citizens Defense Research will be fully refunded within 14 calendar days.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
