0328 - An Interview with Joe Gionti, Lead Instructor at Willioughby School of Gung Fu

/
Last week I had the chance to sit down with my good friend Joe Gionti to talk about his experience with martial arts and how those that have a mind toward real world application can find the best self-defense training when it comes to unarmed self-defense.

0268 - Interview with Zach of Helix Arms

/
Today we have an interview that literally had me laughing out loud both during the recording and again throughout the editing. I hope you find the conversation I had with Zach of Helix Arms as much as we did. We do talk about some serious topics, and no, you shouldn't load your shot shells with rock salt.

0266 - An Interview with Julie Golob and Jerry Miculek of Team Smith and Wesson

/
The best in the business are at SHOT Show and there is no doubt that it can be tough to gain access to some of the top names. SHOT Show is a busy time. Julie Golob and I started to try and get a time scheduled weeks ahead of SHOT but with both of our crazy schedules finding a common time was tough, but finally we made it. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I showed up at the Smith & Wesson booth and had the chance to interview both Julie and Jerry Miculek. Today we will talk with two champions who still find time for family, the outdoors and folks like you and me.

0265 - An Interview with John Paul of JP Enterprises

/
My primary AR-15 is a JP rifle. I bought a JP for several reasons: First, JP has taken a bunch of time over the years to give me personal customer support. When I say JP, I am talking about the people at JP, but also John Paul. When someone takes the time to invest in me as a customer, I become a loyal customer. Second, I started out as a competitive shooter and JP dominated the competitive market where I played my gun games. I know that competition isn't battle, but I also know that competition can be a grueling test ground for combative gear. JP has proven that their rifles will continue to perform in the harshest of conditions. Finally, with JP, I had the opportunity to have a rifle built to my exact specifications. I hope you enjoy today's podcast and if you are shopping for a new AR, give JP a look.

0263 - An Interview with Doug Dirren of TASER International

/
The TASER X26 is one of the most universal tools found on LEO's duty belts because of its effectiveness and its track record for safety. TASER now has made their ECD's available to law abiding citizens for several years. The current line of civilian TASERS is lead by the C2 which has the exact features that good people need to end violent encounters and escape as quickly as possible.

0262 - An Interview with Rob Pincus of ICE Training et al

/
Rob Pincus has been a driving force in defensive shooting instruction for the past few years. His program Combat Focus Shooting is one of the most taught handgun systems around. Rob doesn't just focus on the shooting, He also closely examines combat and how what we do on the range will or will not apply to fighting, and is constantly examining instruction to find the most efficient way to deliver content to his varied audience. Whether you are an expert or a novice, a student or a teacher, Rob is someone you might want to pay attention to.

0261 - An Interview with Ray Kohout Designer of the Heizer Defense Double Tap

/
Some folks have dubbed the Double Tap a fancy derringer. I think this is a pretty narrow view. Speaking of narrow, .58" in width. The Double Tap is aimed at the professionals and those that are serious about self-defense. Its size, design, materials and caliber all speak to its purpose as a fighting tool. Its innovative design, and serious price tag distinguish it from other small guns only time will tell if consumers are able to do the same.

0260 - An Interview with Fate of Destinee

/
Had another great conversation with a fun woman who is diving head first into the gun world. Tune in to hear a fun and energetic personality talk about her passion for guns.

0259 - An Interview with Author and Revolver Expert Grant Cunningham

/
My interview with Grant Cunningham proves my point well that SHOT Show is an opportunity to gather knowledge as much as it is an opportunity to drool over new gear. Grant does a wonderful job of concisely sizing up some of the issues that folks are confronted with when they start to look at revolvers and how they fit into modern combatives.
