SSA Video – Why your carry gun should be chambered.

/
Hey folks I wanted to give you a heads up that I have posted…

0325 – Expanding our Fight for Second Amendment Rights

/
Today's show might be one of the more important podcasts I have ever recorded. as many of you know, our Second Amendment Rights are under attack and I must say that I have never been more concerned about our rights than I am today. In what seems to be a perfect storm, anti-gun politicians and activists are feeling more bold and empowered than ever before and when that fact is coupled with the understandable complacency of today's gun owner, I see a serious threat on the horizon. Today we will take a look at that threat and some no-nonsense steps we can take to win the fight.

0324 – American Second Amendment Rights Under Fire

/
How quickly the tide can turn. 10 days ago if you would have suggested that an Assault Weapons Ban could actually pass into law, I would have laughed. Yes, I know it was going to be pushed for in Obama's second term, but I didn't see it as a true possibility. Today, for the first time in a long time, I am concerned. If you are interested in your Second Amendment Rights, you may have cause to be worried too. Today we will take a look at gun rights under fire.

0321 Understanding The Mass Murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School

/
I rarely focus my shows content on specific events, however, there are times when events are so overwhelming and the implications are so broad that they cannot be ignored. The tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary that took place on Friday, December 14 is one of those events. As uncomfortable, difficult and distressing as it may be to look at the situation from a critical standpoint, we must or we as a society will continue to make the same terrible mistakes that lead up to and result in tragedies like this.

0319 – An Interview with Mike Brown Designer of the Adcor BEAR

/
When it comes to the AR-15 platform, I am a big fan of the DI guns. The AR has a reputation of being a finicky and dirty rifle that at times can be truthful but is often overblown. So with very few exceptions when folks ask me my opinion about the AR I talk about DI. As with anything else, there are exceptions. Today we are going to hear about an exception. The Adcor Defense BEAR. The BEAR's designer Mike Brown is going to talk to us about Adcor, AR-15's, Pistons, the BEAR and the depth that his rifle and Adcor bring to the table.

0313 – An interview with Black Forge and Time Kruse at NASGW 2012

/
About six weeks ago became the owner of my first AK-47. I got it on a trade and it seems to be a pretty decent rifle, but really, what do I know? The answer is not much when it comes to the Eastern Block weapons. I don't have anything negative to say about the Ak's and their variants, I simply am fairly ignorant to the platform. the great thing about the gun industry is the fact that there is an expert about every gun and those experts love to share what it is that they know. That is the plan today. To learn from Tim Kruse of Black Forge.

0307 – The Problem with Firearm Safety Rules

/
In my opinion it is imperative that the student/teacher relationship is based on trust. We are dealing with life and death issues when we deal with combatives. The student must trust that the instructor is giving the best information possible. Many people mistake the instructors best effort with the instructor being required to be right I disagree The instructor has the responsibility to commit to having the best information available to provide to their students The instructor must constantly seek to understand where they are wrong and improve the information that provide to their students

0303 – FF Surprising 1911 Fail

/
Those of you that have been around for a while know that my shooting is originally founded in the competitive arena. I cut my teeth with a 1911. I must say that I still have a soft spot in my heart for the platform. I'm actually surprised that I don't hate the guns. If I was a rational man, I probably would.

0293 – Home Self-Defense Handgun Storage Condition: A consideration of consistency and efficiency

/
In the past few months I have been struggling with an important issue, the storage of defensive handguns in the home. Today we will talk about some important logical points about the storage of defensive handguns in the home.

0289 – Caracal F 9mm Striker Fired Pistol Range Trip with Stoppages

/
With all the excitement surrounding the Caracal i have made it a top priority to bring you quality information related to the pistol. Although it is not widely available, we have been able to secure a copy and I have been bit by bit exploring the pistol as time has allowed. This past weekend I took it on an impromptu range trip and was a bit disappointed in how it fared. It was probably my fault, but I'm still bummed.
